Young participants of the Championships, who will compete both in the program for individual gymnasts and in group exercises, will compete at the World Championships at the arena of the up-to-date sports facilities – Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace, which is scheduled to open in Moscow Luzhniki in June 2019.

Dear friends! Our dear guests!

Russia has presented rhythmic gymnastics to the world. The sport, which has won the hearts of sports fans around the globe, is the source of our national pride.


I am happy that the Junior World Championships, the very first in the history of rhythmic gymnastics, will be held in Moscow, the capital of Russia!


The most beautiful and talented young gymnasts of the planet, the best coaches and the most experienced judges shall gather in our very own home– the newest Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace.
And, undoubtedly, the most grateful spectators!

The building of the Palace was constructed under a unique project applying information modeling technologies. Its roof was designed to take the shape of a fluttering gymnastic ribbon. With a total area of 26,000 square meters and a seating capacity of 4,000 spectators, the arena will meet all international requirements for holding events at the level of the Olympics and World and European Championships. Participants and guests of the competition shall be granted full access to three training and a choreography hall, a gym, facilities for serving athletes, coaches and judges, a restaurant and cafes, a health and rehabilitation center, a press center, a hotel and much more.

About the Championship
On July 19-21, 2019, Moscow will host the 1st FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, the very first in the history of rhythmic gymnastics. The right to host the first World Youth Start was granted to Russia as the birthplace of rhythmic gymnastics, the only Olympic sport originating in our country. The young participants of the Championships who are set to take part in both the individual gymnasts' program and the group exercises shall compete at the World Championships at the arena of the newest sports facilities – Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace, which was opened in Moscow Luzhniki in June 2019.
